Terms and Conditions Agreement
The shipper acknowledges and agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions form the legal agreement between the shipper and DDL Logistics. Under no circumstances shall any agent or employee of DDL, except authorized personnel, or any customer be allowed to alter, modify, or waive any of the conditions outlined herein.
By signing this contract, the consignee acknowledges and accepts the full terms and conditions stated in this consignment note. In doing so, the shipper agrees that these terms and conditions are binding upon both the shipper and any other person or entity having an interest in the goods being transported.
Ownership and Authorization
The shipper must warrant that they are either the rightful owner or the authorized agent of the owner of the goods being transported via DDL Logistics. In this regard, the shipper accepts responsibility for the goods being transported, and by accepting these terms, agrees to do so on behalf of the owner or any other individual or entity that may have an interest in the goods.
This warranty includes the shipper’s declaration that all goods described in the consignment note are accurately and completely listed, and that the shipment details, including any financial or logistical information, are correct and true.
Customer Obligations and Acknowledgments
The shipper is required to ensure that every article in the shipment is properly described in the DDL consignment note. In addition, the shipper is responsible for verifying that all shipment details are complete, accurate, and aligned with the DDL Logistics specifications and requirements.
The shipper acknowledges that the COD (Cash on Delivery) value declared on the airway bill is final. This value is considered conclusive for purposes of resolving any discrepancies or claims that may arise during or after the transportation process.
Shipment Acceptance and Packing
It is the responsibility of the shipper to ensure that the items being shipped are not listed as unacceptable by DDL. The shipper must also confirm that the shipment complies with all regulatory and policy guidelines set forth by DDL and that the items are properly packed, labeled, and marked for safe transportation. The shipment should be packaged in a manner that ensures safe handling and transportation under normal conditions.
DDL Logistics has the right to reject any shipment that does not comply with these conditions, or if the shipment is deemed unsuitable for transport due to improper packaging, labeling, or non-compliance with accepted shipping standards.
Liability and Claim Process
The shipper must ensure that the shipment is in good condition and complies with all relevant safety and regulatory standards. If the shipment does not meet these standards, DDL Logistics reserves the right to reject or delay the shipment. Furthermore, DDL will not be held responsible for any damage, loss, or delays that occur due to improper packaging or failure to comply with these terms.
In the event that a claim is necessary, the shipper acknowledges that DDL Logistics has the sole discretion to accept or reject any claims related to damage, loss, or discrepancies in the shipment. Claims will only be processed if they are lodged within the specified time frame and in accordance with DDL’s claim policies.
